Using the accessories

To get the best possible fit for your lock type you may need to use a combination of the accessories that is included within the smart lock bundle which will be highlighted in the chart below.

Depending on your lock type, fitting the lock mounting plate can be installed in 2 separate ways. The first way is via the 3M self-adhesive pad which is include in the accessories which will allow you to stick the mounting plate directly to the door surface so the smart door lock can be attached.

(Please watch the installation video for further guidance)

Alternatively, the smart lock can be attached using the existing screw on your door handle, simply remove the screw and add the mounting plate fasting the screw back into its original hole which will hold the mounting plate in place to attach the smart lock,

Please take note: If required, you will also find some additional spaces in the accessories which will have 3M adessive pads, these plastic pads will help buffer the distance between your door and the mounting plate therefore making the smart lock level once installed.

Choosing the correct Clamp

Using the correct clamp and gasket ensures a tight fit around the lock, which ever lock type you have.

Use Clamp A for wider and sorter lock fittings, such as thumb turns.

For longer housings or keys Clamp B is generally recommended.

We also recommend also using the Rubber Clamp for key locks.

UPVC multi-point locking doors

Locking the door

With UPVC multi-point locking doors, you need to lift the handle upward to engage the multi-point locking mechanism, allowing the Securaki smart lock to turn the key and secure the door.

Unlocking the door

Activate the Securaki smart lock to turn the key to unlock then push down on the handle to disengage the multipoint locking mechanism. You can now open the door.

Outward- opening doors

We recommend not using the Securaki smart lock on outward opening – doors, as the door frame may foul the lock and in turn obstruct the door from opening and closing.
